Nelson's coffee was picked and later fermented for 40 hours inside grainpro bags. Cherries were later hand sorted, floated and placed on raised beds until the ideal moisture content was achieved.
Nelson Hurtado has picked coffee for as long as he can remember, he used to travel around the Antioquia region, aiming to work with the most productive farms in order to be able to pick more cherries, as pickers are often paid for every kg they pick.
After working in Gaitania region for 15 years as a picker, Nelson was able to purchase his own farm approximately 5 years ago. These days Nelson grows his coffee surrounded my many fruit trees, enchanted with animals living in the region. There are many birds in particular which is enjoys looking after.
