FRONT OF HOUSE | FULL TIME POSITION | 32hours +OT | £15-£17/hr

THE ROLE
32 hours a week across 5 days. Saturdays included. Sundays always off.
You’ll be the person our regulars look for when they walk in. Taking orders, offering
advice, preparing filter to order, chatting about the new limited lots, and making
someone’s morning genuinely better.
DAY-TO-DAY THAT MEANS:
– Engaging properly with customers — notscripts, actual conversation
– Running the counter — food prep, service, keeping things tight during a rush
– Preparing and serving filter coffees (batch brew, hand pour) throughout the day
– Assisting in dialling in and maintaining consistency on our rotating single-origin menu
ABOUT OUR CAFE
East Finchley café is a place for us to connect with a community, share our
experiences and to build people’s understanding about speciality coffee through
public cuppings, coffee workshops and everyday conversations.
Eater London has called us “one of the most consistent cafés in the game.” And it is
true that consistency & friendly customer service have always been our two
priorities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High level customer service & strong communication are essential. Beyond that:
– Barista experience welcomed
– You’re curious about all things coffee and want to learn
– You remember a regular’s order, and you remember their name
– You don’t need to be told twice, and you don’t leave things for someone else
– You’re genuinely good with people
WHAT YOU GET
– £15–£17/hr depending on experience, reviewed as you grow
– Tips on top - typically equivalent to an extra ~£1.50/hr
